Libert Myoskeletal and Massage practices are based on the idea that people were born to move and that our development followed a specific path influenced by the principles of physics.
We were initially born with a tremendously flexible body with little ability to control it. Through a series of exploratory movements, driven by a brain that refined movement patterns and utilized the force of gravity, we developed the ability to stabilize our core, crawl on our hands and knees, and stand on two feet. Once we became stable, we were able become stronger. Without the foundation of mobility and the subsequent nature-driven stability training, we would never have been able to stand up and then walk.
Andy Libert’s rehabilitative model honors our nature-driven development of movement patterns. If we want to restore the body to healthy movement (i.e., its original operating software), we need to start as we did when we first were born. We need to restore mobility first, then stabilize the body, and finally strengthen it.
Libert Myoskeletal Massage operates on the principles of mobility, stability, and strength. Comprehensive, individualized services are designed to help you achieve your movement potential by enhancing your mobility, improving your stability, and increasing your strength.
